Volunteering

Daylesford RDA welcomes volunteers who have a commitment to working with adults and children with a disability. Horse experience is not required as we provide some basic training. Volunteers are required from 12.30-5.30pm on a Friday afternoon in Terms1, 2 and 4 and regular attendance is important for both the riders and the horses. There is a range of activities including fundraising, attendance at games days and competitions etc that may also occur on weekends or school holidays that our volunteers help with. In addition to helping with the riding sessions, there is a range of volunteer jobs that are necessary to keep both our small Centre running and enable us to run the activities that we do. Anything from baking cakes, being on hand when the farrier comes, making fancy dress costumes through to painting the arena and planting trees.
