Volunteers at Warragul RDA will be given training and will be encouraged to achieve the skills set out in our volunteer handbook, to their level of interest and ability.  Volunteers are mentored at the centre by experienced coaches and volunteers. Training days are held throughout the year where both riding and coaching skills are practised. Volunteers are encouraged to attend. At each RDA weekly session, both riding and coaching skills are reinforced. Volunteers are expected to adhere to the code of ethics set out by RDA.  Volunteers must have a working with children checks. A regular commitment is appreciated.  Horse grooming, saddling, side walking, horse leading, sessional report notes and working with waiting riders are some of the tasks that as a volunteer you may be asked to do.  An annual Christmas luncheon is held.
