RDAV Moorabbin situated just off South Road, in Heatherton and operates on council owned land shared with the Southern Speedway Trotting Club.
Hours of operation are 8.30am – 1.30pm Monday to Saturday during the school term; times vary slightly for different groups. We do not operate during the school holidays or on Public holidays. Monday – Friday are school & community groups, on Saturdays we have individual riders. We have 104 riders who ride on a fortnightly, so that we can accommodate more riders.
Our riding programme is assisted by 100 volunteers who come every week. Without the help of all our volunteers the program could not run.
We have 9 horses, we own 8 and one is on loan.
We applied for a volunteers grant from the Government to buy uniforms for our volunteers, which we received. The uniforms look terrific and all the volunteers are really proud to wear them.
