RDAV Ballarat began in 1978 with 4 ponies lent from Rinaldis Riding School. Now using 11 horses, the only cost is a weekly trucking fee.
The Ballarat Centre has a 30 year licence with the University of Ballarat to use the Equine Centre at their Mt Rowan campus. The Ballarat centre has 49 volunteers including 4 Secondary College students and 3 students from the Christian College
