RDA Victoria COVID Update, 21st July 2021

RDA Victoria COVID Update from Edwina Boase-Stratford, State Coaching Coordinator

The Victorian lockdown has been extended until 11.59pm Tuesday 27 July 2021. The good news is that the spread of the virus appears to have been contained which is reassuring.

The following rules to the entire State of Victoria.
You can only leave your home for five approved reasons:

1. Shopping for essentials;
2. Authorised work or education (this includes essential animal welfare);
3. Exercise
4. Caregiving, compassionate or medical reasons;
5. To get vaccinated (got my first AZ about 10 weeks ago, so can’t wait to get the follow up!)

For shopping and exercise you need to stay within 5km of your home.

The other good news is that special developmental schools are open for children who a struggling to manage at home.

Masks must be worn everywhere except in your home. This includes both indoor and outdoor areas, unless you have a medical exemption. This applies to all of Victoria.

A full list of settings can be found here:
