The Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria currently has 224 member Clubs with 5600 individual members spread across Victoria and parts of NSW and South Australia. The HRCAV caters for a wide range of riders who enjoy the social aspect of Club membership as well as access to the extensive competition system. There is a Club within reach of most Victorians where you can join like minded riders for social activities, lessons/rallies or competition.
The Pony Club movement is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in horses and riding. It is represtented in 15 countries and has a membership exceeding 102,000 – making it the largest association of riders in the world.
In Victoria, general Pony Club membership is open to people under 26 years of age, of any riding ability.
The Australian Horse Industry Council (AHIC) represents the interests of all persons and the health and welfare of all horses in the Australian horse industry.
The Victorian Horse Council (VHC) is the umbrella organisation for the horse industry. The VHC is the ideal medium for approaching State Government in a controlled and objective manner, presenting facts rather than individual preferences and prejudices. It has a responsibility to isolate issues of concern to the Industry and horse owners generally.
The Off the Track Program aims to increase the demand for retired thoroughbred racehorses as pleasure and performance horses through sponsoring events and clinics, sharing success stories, and promoting the attributes of the thoroughbred.
Our mission is to facilitate the placement of retired thoroughbred racehorses in second careers by promoting the many re-trainers across the state, and educating the community about the various life after racing options, versatility of use, and the appropriate care and retraining of the thoroughbred.
The SPPHAV provides the means for owners to present their pure and patbread Standardbred horses in breed classes. It also assists owners to rais the level of their skills and encourages owners to compete alongside all other breeds at the many competitions held annually.
Boomerang Holiday Ranch is a family owned and operated Camp located in the Spa Centre of Victoria, only 2km from the main centre of Daylesford and surrounded by picturesque Hepburn Regional Park.
Boomerang Ranch offers trail riding through native bushland, with all rides supervised. School camps are a specialty with bunk style accommodation and a large range of fun outdoor activities.
This is a resource based website designed for volunteers and staff who are involved in facilitating sport and active recreation experiences for people with disabilities. The kit can also be used for training programs, and would have the added benefit of being an ongoing resource and reference guide for volunteers and staff.
Disability Resource Centre provides individual advocacy for adults with disability. We also work on systemic issues and conduct and support campaigns, which aim to provide long-term benefits for many people. From time to time, we hold public forums to discover the issues that matter most to people with disabilities. Membership of the DRC is free, and people with disabilities are encouraged to join.
The TAC is a Victorian Government-owned organisation whose role is to promote road safety, improve the State’s trauma system and support those who have been injured on our roads.
